Nadia Fittinghoff and her 1948 Harley Davidson
These pictures of Nadia Fittinghoff and her 1948 Harley were sent in by her daughter, Tanya Henry of San Jose, CA.  The first shot was taken in the Vancouver, BC area during the early '50s, possibly in Stanley Park.

Nadia sold that bike to a Swiss gentleman by the name of Fred around 1955.  She would dearly love to find it again, but does not have the papers or serial number, which would be either 48FLxxxx or 48ELxxxx.  Not much to go on.

Nadia was very well known by all the Vancouver police department during that time as she was the only skinny blonde European girl riding around on an HD.  She also had quite a few motorcycle friends around the city at that time.

If anyone knew Nadia back then or might have information about her motorcycle please contact us and we will forward your message to her.

The second shot is in the southern Okanagan region of British Columbia not far from Keremeos.  This is a great area to ride and is still favoured by motorcyclists today.  Great weather, although it can get way too hot in the summer (even by California standards), great roads, and georgious scenery.

The bike on the left appears to be a 1950 Hydro Glide, likely owned by the photographer.
Here is a much more recent shot of Nadia.  Some things never change ...
This Panhead belongs to our friend, Sam of Surrey, BC.  Not a restoration, but quite a nice bike.
